Happy Hips: Sciatica and Low Back Relief at YAM

Strong and healthy hips are at the heart of much of what we do. Starting from the feet up, this workshop will introduce you to techniques that will help with stability in the hip joint, increase range of movement and assess your breath and posture. We will explore body blind spots through feedback from the therapy balls. Through myofascial release, stretching and breathing techniques we will improve proprioception, reduce pain, and discover integrated body awareness. And because it is all connected, we will also address neck and back discomfort.

Join Loretta Zedella as we provide our hips with a stretch, therapy ball release and strengthening to help alleviate pain and tension.

In this workshop, we will identify some major muscles of our hip joints. With the help of the therapy ball, we will explore the connective tissue. This effective small rubber tool can give release and hydration in our entire hip area. We’ll practice specific movements to target this area in ways we can incorporate into or daily lives.
