Aerial Yoga Basics at The Shift Studio- tentative

Join me for four weeks of aerial yoga exploration when its safe to gather.

Aerial Yoga is the practice of traditional yoga asanas and stabilizing movements done using a hammock or swing, which is made of silk. This style of yoga may be perceived as acrobatic, or that it may require a higher fitness level, but one may find great range and extra support in the silks, and ease within one's self with time and practice.

Aerial Yoga helps in lengthening the spine with the back muscles engaged. The action of the arms raised up to hold the silk fabric strengthens the shoulders, arms, upper back muscles, and builds a strong chest.

Learn to fly on aerial silks, in a supportive, beginner friendly, non intimidating, aerial yoga series of classes.

Join Loretta at The Shift Studio to experience moving in the air. Aerial Yoga combines the fun of other alignment-centered playful movement along with strengthening then relaxing shapes. Using the support of your hammock, we find proper alignment naturally while supporting the joints of the body.
