Following her strong desire to assist and support families during the COVID pandemic, Loretta developed Butterfly Flight. The wings encourage a love of movement and a curiosity for nature. with butterfly wings in all colors and sizes. Loretta is an active member of Bee City USA whose mission is to provide education and support for our pollinators. Each wings is accompanied by a nature brochure form the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation.
Loretta an experienced yoga teacher and a certified Yoga Tune Up® instructor with over twenty years yoga and mobility teaching experience. She is also an avid hiker and tree hugger who enjoys the trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina.
Loretta is respected by students throughout the area for her practical yet light-hearted teaching methods. She is also a skilled speaker in many different settings from academic to corporate. In the era of social distancing butterfly flight is a way to stay active and learn about transformation.
Loretta specializes in mobility using yoga therapy balls and therapeutic movement to help us enjoy the great outdoors. She has shared these workshops with thousands of people at many varied locations including Franklin Park Conservatory, Dawes Arboretum, Verizon Wireless, JP Morgan Chase Bank, and many yoga studios. Loretta taught yoga for credit for a dozen years at Ohio Wesleyan University and served the City of Dublin, Ohio as a yoga teacher indoors and out for over fourteen years.
Loretta has studied with countless yoga teachers including Jill Miller of Yoga Tune Up® and Erich Schiffmann. She has immersed herself in developing a deep understanding of body alignment and movement.
She is the founder and former CYO, Chief Yoga Officer, of Yoga Outreach Columbus, a charitable organization dedicated to uniting the local yoga community and benefiting local community assistance groups.
